Initially bought for its intended use to eliminate smoke odors and by accident discovered it does so much more!! We like to cook a lot all different kinds of cuisine from all over the world. The downside are the odors in the carpets and furniture. Lit this candle in the kitchen, and it cleared out the smell throughout the whole ground level of my house. A+++
